Grace Christian School of Loris, South Carolina, was born in the
hearts of Pastors Owen and Judy Johnson. Their vision was to have a Christian school where children could be trained in academics as well as the Word of God. Their dream came to pass in 1980. The school doors opened with 25 students enrolled. Pastor Owen Johnson was the first principal. The school was accredited on May 29, 1981 by the National Private School Association Accreditation Alliance. We use the A Beka Curriculum for K-5, and Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) for grades 1-12.

Reverend Owen Johnson

Reverend Owen Johnson, who founded Grace Christian School in 1980, is also the Pastor of Grace Tabernacle Christian Center. He is also a former Major League baseball player, and has played with the Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox organizations.

Mrs. Judy Johnson

Mrs. Judy Johnson is the Principal at Grace Christian School. Other school officials include: Mrs. Bernice Herring, Assistant Principal; Mr. Troy Sims, Administrator; and Mr. Ben Herring, Administrator.
